The Woodlands In-Home Newborn Photographer | Bright Airy Lifestyle Session
There are families you photograph once, and then there are families who feel like they’ve woven your work into every chapter of their story. For me, Courtney and Regis are exactly that kind of couple.
From their engagement session, to bridals, to their beautiful wedding at The Woodlands Country Club, I’ve had the privilege of documenting so many of their biggest moments. A couple years later, I had the honor of photographing them as they welcomed home their first baby boy. And now what a full-circle moment - it was time to document their second son’s in-home newborn session.
This session was everything I love about in-home newborn photography: soft light, clean tones, cozy textures, and a relaxed, unhurried pace.
We leaned into a studio-inspired aesthetic, but with all the warmth and comfort of home. Their bedroom and nursery were beautifully lit, giving the images that bright, airy, “studio look” without ever leaving the house.
With two boys two and under, you never quite know what you’re going to get - but that’s exactly what makes these sessions so special. Big brother was curious and energetic in his own toddler way. We captured everything from quick snuggles to the candid, in-between moments that show what life really looks like with two little ones.
These are the images I know they’ll look back on and say, “That was us. That was this season.”
Why I love in-home sessions: Newborns feel safest at home, and parents are naturally more relaxed. Toddler siblings can play, snack, or join in when they’re ready - maybe even with a little Ms. Rachel on in the background for extra fun. Moms can nurse or feed when needed, creating a comfortable pace for everyone. You’ll end up with photographs that feel natural, timeless, and full of the love in this season of life.
