The Ours Family Just Got a Little Bigger: In-Home Newborn Session | Spring & The Woodlands, TX
I've photographed the Ours family since their engagement and wedding in July 2014 — twelve years ago this month. So when they called about their newest baby, I was thrilled to be back.
There's something special about photographing the same family at different chapters of their life. I remember Lara and her husband as newlyweds, and now here I was sitting in their beautiful nursery while their two oldest loved on their new baby brother. We moved through their home for the session: a family portrait on the staircase, the girls in the nursery with baby brother, their dog wandering in and out, and Meme getting her turn to hold the baby too.
Lara, a genuinely gifted sewist, made all the outfits the family wore! There's nothing quite like documenting something a mother made with that much love and intention. These are the kind of details that turn a photo into a forever keepsake.

How far in advance should we book? Ideally by your third trimester, so we can schedule within the first two weeks after birth. Many families reach out mid pregnancy to book my bundled sessions which include both maternity and in-home newborn sessions.
