There’s so much I could say about this session - it was truly a memorable one. I really love lifestyle newborn sessions in the home. There’s just something so special about capturing you in your own space during those tender early days - nothing compares.
As a mom of four myself, having brought home four tiny babes, these sessions always flood me with nostalgic memories of my own journey. When my husband and I had our first child I remember how we bonded in ways I never imagined. Learning to navigate this brand new season together brought us closer than ever.
Spending time with Sarah & Ryan reminded me so much of that season. They’re high school sweethearts like us, and it was so clear how much they cherish and support one another. Baby Estelle has already deepened their connection in the most beautiful way. Yes, the sleepless nights are real - but the way partners fall into a new rhythm and show kindness to each other in the chaos is something truly sacred.
What made this session extra special is how natural they were in front of the camera. Usually, I give a lot of direction, but this time, they simply loved on each other and their sweet girl without needing much prompting - it was pure joy to capture.
And can we talk about the light? This particular room wasn’t very bright, but with a blend of natural light and the equipment I bring along, we created a soft, beautiful atmosphere that made every photo rich with love and light.
