Ava Senior: Fashion, Golden Hour, and Galveston Glow

This senior session was extra special for me. Ava is my cousin's daughter, she lives in Indiana, and she came to visit us in Texas over the summer. We had such a great time showing her Texas for the first time. Ava has so much personality, and we wanted her senior pictures to actually reflect who she is. So we planned a session that hit three completely different vibes: an in-studio fashion session, golden hour at a local park, and a trip out to Galveston for that classic beach glow.

Ava loves fashion, so the studio was a natural first choice, especially with the Houston heat in July making it an easy call too. Studio sessions are great because we control every bit of the light and backdrop, and each outfit can get its own fresh look. That floral dress against the purple backdrop was seriously having a moment, some color combos just pop, and that one was so eye-catching!

For the second vibe, we headed to a local park for golden hour. The warm evening light is so soft and flattering, and it's hard to recreate at any other time of day. Ava loved the crepe myrtles since she doesn't see much of those in Indiana, so we made sure to capture that look.

Lastly, we drove out to Galveston. Being there reminded me how relaxing and beautiful the beach is. It was a perfect day!

Combining the studio, golden hour, and the beach gave Ava a wide array of unique options, images perfect for graduation announcements, social media, and keepsakes she'll look back on for years. Getting to create it for a member of my own family made this session even more special.

If you're a senior (or a senior's parent!) dreaming up a session that's as unique as you are, I'd love to help you plan it. Let's create a gallery that is unmistakably you! Head to the contact page to get on the schedule, I can't wait to capture your story too.
